Light The Way

Light The Way

Photographers: Want to learn more about
lighting techniques and posing in a dynamic, hands-on workshop?
Want to experiment with new equipment (or better understand the equipment you already own) in a fun, supportive environment?
Bring your camera  and your lighting questions to Light The Wat at Fete Club on March 24th from 10:00 to 3:00. Hosted by Brad Smith Photography and Seth Jacobson Photography, the program will include strategies for creating dynamic and dramatic lighting scenarios. There will be an opportunity for peer feedback and review of your work. We believe in learning by doing, so this is not a lecture. This is an interactive program with a strong emphasis on play. We will have models on hand and participants will have the opportunity to immediately test and apply what they learn in a creative, supportive setting.
The venue will also allow us to explore the most common challenges we face (as wedding and portrait photographers, at indoor events, etc.)
About the venue: Located in the historic Onleyville section of Providence, The Fete Club is a colorful, eclectic boutique music venue. Its mission is to provide an atmosphere of education, collaboration and celebration for artists and musicians, and to culturally enhance its community at-large. Original artwork is featured throughout the club. Visit fetemusic.com for more information.
Join us: The cost is $100 for the 4 hour workshop, and the registration deadline is March 10th. We will break for lunch (Wes’s Rib house is right next door!) but participants are welcome to bring a bag lunch and continue through lunch.
Please email workshop@smithbrad.com to secure your spot.
