Rhode Island Portrait Project: Greg Bressler of PICUS Woodrights

I have another installment of my very exciting portrait project. I love my community and there are some amazing people making Rhode Island a wonderful place to live. I have decided to photograph the people who are really making “IT” happen here in my community in a (hopefully) creative and fun way that tells a story about who those people are and what they are doing for their respective businesses.

Greg Bressler is the owner of Picus Woodwrights here in beautiful South County Rhode Island. He is a restoration carpenter and general contractor who works on historic properties in Rhode Island. I decided to profile Greg’s business not only because of the excellent work that he does transforming, restoring, and preserving our beautiful homes here in RI, but because of the high level of integrity that he brings to each project that he works on. I am proud of the portrait taken recently at another beautiful, finished project. What do you think!

Rhode Island Portrait Project

I have another installment of my very exciting portrait project. I love my community and there are some amazing people making Rhode Island a wonderful place to live. I have decided to photograph the people who are really making “IT” happen here in my community in a (hopefully) creative and fun way that tells a story about who those people are and what they are doing for their respective businesses.

This most recent portrait is of Doug Brady. Doug is the Manager of the Holiday Inn in South Kingstown RI. They have thousands and thousands of  people go through the hotel over the course of a year. I think there is something about giving people a place to stay for the night which is really important to our community. Doug is the kind of guy that you immediately feel comfortable with. He just makes you feel welcome which is no surprise because of the business that he is in… Here is a link to the Holiday Inn website

And here is the portrait!

Wedding Photo Newport RI

Here is a recent portrait from a wedding I photographed in Newport RI last weekend. We were working at the officers Club on the Naval Base at the Naval War College which has a beautiful view of the Newport Bridge! I was working with Michael David Spirito as a second shooter which was super fun! He is a great guy and fun to work with. I set up this shot and had Mike hold an umbrella (and used pocket wizards to trigger the speedlight) over the couple on a boom which gives that soft romantic light cascading over them. I  waited until the sun was over the horizon but there was still a little light left in the sky to give that beautiful blue hue to the background.
